West Fargo Sports Arena Holds Open Skate

The two–rink ice facility owned by West Fargo Public Schools opened in 2017.

WEST FARGO, N.D- Kids at West Fargo Public Schools had the day off for professional development day and  had a chance to hit the ice.

They were able to either ice skate or play hockey for an hour and a half of free open skate.

The arena also allowed the parents to keep their kids active while they’re not in school.

“We have two sheets of ice and the one sheet of ice we have setup so kids can come do hockey. We have the nets out there, they can bring their sticks, pucks, and they have to wear helmets. And then we have the other sheet of ice that’s set–up just for open freestyle skating, ” says Britta Timm, the coordinator at West Fargo Sports Arena.

The next free open skate will be held on October 17 & 18 from noon to 1:30 each day.
