Search for Missing Traverse County Man

WHEATON, MN — The Traverse County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing man.

Terry Lee McCoy, 68, was last seen at his home in Wheaton, MN around 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17.

McCoy is 6 feet tall, 250 pounds with gray (bald on top) and blue eyes.

The Sheriff says he may have sustained recent injuries.

His cell phone, wallet and personal property were left at his home.

He may be on foot because none of his vehicles are missing.

If you can help locate McCoy, please call the Traverse County Sheriff’s Office at 320-422-7800.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in the investigation.

A search by family and friends coordinated by the Sheriff’s Department on Sunday did not come up with any information on McCoy’s location.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office also assisted on Thursday night and again on Friday.

Thursday they assisted us with their Drone and flew the property.

They also flew the scene on Friday.

Also on Friday, they brought out their underwater search and rescue team to search the pond behind Terry’s place.
