Cass-Clay donates over 24,000 cartons of shelf-stable milk to Great Plains Food Bank

FARGO (KVRR) — Milk, it’s one of the most requested items at food banks and Cass-Clay Creamery along with Hornbacher’s, made a delivery.
Over 24,000 shelf-stable Giving Cow milk cartons made it’s way to the Great Plains Food Bank.
The donation is part of Cass-Clay’s program with the food bank starting back in 2020.
As rising costs continue, the need from families across the nation and locally continue to grow.
“Being a local dairy in the state of North Dakota, we feel it’s important to give back to our community and to the neighbors that help support us throughout the year,” said Cass-Clay Sales Manager Steve Tedford.
“To be able to reinvest in our local businesses makes the whole community stronger. And we’re committed to that,” said Ann Prifrel, CEO for Great Plains Food Bank.
Since the program began, Cass-Clay Creamery has donated about 380,000 cartons of shelf stable milk.
