Sheriff releases name of teen who was killed by dog

BATTLE LAKE, Minn. (KVRR) – The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of a teen who died after he was attacked by his family’s dog.

Fourteen-year-old Dion Bush was attacked by the Long-Haired German Shepherd on Dec. 10 near Battle Lake.

The sheriff’s office says the dog “was extremely aggressive when the deputies arrived.”  The 3 year-old dog was purchased from Poland 6 months ago.

Due to public safety concerns and at the request of the dog’s owner, the dog was put down.  An investigation remains open.
