POLK CO., Minn. (KVRR) — A family is out of their home after a fire in rural Polk County near Fisher, Minnesota.

East Grand Forks Fire Department responded Monday afternoon to a report of heavy smoke
in a structure.

Everyone was out of the house when crews arrived.

They found heavy smoke and fire located in the kitchen.

The house has heavy smoke and fire damage with an estimated loss of $100,000.

The fire started in an area around the dishwasher and was ruled undetermined but unintentional.

No injuries were reported.
