Smoke from Garage Fire Wakes Sleeping Man in Douglas County
DOUGLAS CO., Minn. (KVRR) — A man wakes up when he smells smoke and sees flames coming from the chimney of the wood burning stove in the garage.
It happened Sunday morning around 6:40 in Kensington, Minnesota, southwest of Alexandria.
That man and another renter were able to get out of the home safely.
The homeowner was at work at the time.
Kensington Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire.
The attached garage has fire and water damage.
The cause is believed to be the wood burning stove.
No one was hurt.
