WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A GoFundMe fundraiser has been started for people forced from their homes after fire tore through a townhouse complex in West Fargo last month.

Crews arrived to smoke and flames coming out of the building containing six townhomes just before 4 a.m. on November 22, the day before Thanksgiving.

The GoFundMe says six families lost nearly everything in the fire including pets.

They are all living in temporary homes.

West Fargo Fire Chief Dan Fuller says all of the units had smoke alarms that were working, which is a major reason why people were able to get out in time.

There were no injuries reported.
