Pet Connection: Meet Walter

Walter is a big bird for Pet Connection this week from C.A.A.R.E.

Walter is a big bird. He is a Greenwing Macaw, which is the 2nd-largest Macaw species.

He may be big, but he seems to know his strength.

Gwen Sailer with C.A.A.R.E. says it doesn’t leave much of a mark when he bites, despite the face he could break your arm bone if he really tried.

Despite his careful bites, Walter should not be around young children or small birds, just in case.

His ideal situation would be with a single female. Walter doesn’t really like men or children. But anyone who takes Walter home will be rewarded with decades of companionship and entertainment.
