Cass County Electric Still Working To Restore Power to Around 1,000 Members

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Cass County Electric is still working to restore power to all of its members after the Christmas Day ice storm.

As of Monday morning they had just under 1,000 members without power.

The majority of them are in the Valley City service area which still has more than 500 customers without power and just as many broken poles.

Cass County Electric has more than 100 lineworkers, contractors and others working to restore power.

They say there are still around 800 broken poles that will need to be replaced.

Mutual Aid and CCEC Line Crews are working long hours from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.
