Southern Minnesota murder suspect wants charge dismissed

Adam Fravel

WINONA COUNTY, Minn. (KVRR/FOX 9) — The southern Minnesota man charged with killing Maddi Kingsbury, has filed motions to dismiss the first-degree murder charge against him and to move any future trial out of Winona County.

Adam Fravel, 29,  is the father of Maddi’s children.

He is believed to have been the last person to see her alive.

After law enforcement found her remains, they arrested Fravel, and he was charged with two counts of second-degree murder.

He was later indicted on a charge of first-degree murder.

New filings in the case reveal his lawyers argue there is not enough evidence for him to be tried on that charge.
