Fire at Moorhead mobile home displaces two people

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Moorhead Fire Department responded to a dryer fire in a mobile home off Lancaster Drive that left two people displaced.

According to the battalion chief on the scene, the fire was in the side door with the dryer on fire.

Some of the flames made their way into the attic above the dryer but were able to get the fire knocked down pretty quickly and there is smoke damage throughout the house.

Moorhead Fire Battalion Chief Justin Rosenfeldt says, “We’re doing our investigation right now. It appears to be an accidental at this time. That’s what it is looking like now, it doesn’t seem to be suspicious or anything.”

Moorhead Fire says this is an ongoing investigation.
