‘Flour Massacre’ protestors gather in Moorhead

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – Outside the Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead, Minn., protestors chanted ‘ceasefire now’ and ‘free, free Palestine’. They were protesting the February 29th events that took place in Gaza where people were killed waiting for aid convoys in what is being called the ‘Flour Massacre’.

“Just meaningful to see people come out and speak of the injustices that my family, my father, mother, sisters, brothers and nephews are experiencing right now in north Gaza.” said Abdallah. “At 4 a.m., including some of my family members were ambushed by the Israeli military and they were shot at point blank for being starved for the previous months.”

Many are calling out Israel for their role in what is happening in Gaza and also saying the U.S. is complicit with their military aid to them.

“The atrocities are ongoing. Every step needs to be bigger than the last.” said Asher Lorentzen, a Fargo-Moorhead CODEPINK organizer.

Around 25 people protested in Moorhead.
