LIVE: Harlem Globetrotters in the Red River Valley
FARGO — They’ve been entertaining families and inspiring kids for almost one hundred years.
And now, the Harlem Globetrotters are here in the Red River Valley.
The exhibition basketball team has introduced their basketball skills, comedy, and theatricality to other countries and cultures for generations.
They’ve showcased the talents of NBA stars like Wilt Chamberlain, among others.
They’ve been a staple of pop culture through their appearances in TV, film, and animation, including here on Fox.
They even played behind the Iron Curtain in 1959 during the Cold War, meeting Soviet Premiere Nikita Krushchev.
Globetrotter Jason “Buckets” Barrera Zoomed in live to the Morning Show to talk ahead of the games Monday and Tuesday night in the Red River Valley about what he loves most about being on the team, what kinds of skills he brings to the court, and what it’s like to keep the tradition going for a new generation of fans.
