Zach Robinson Given TOP COPS Award in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KVRR) — Fargo Police Officer Zach Robinson has been awarded the TOP COPS award by the National Association of Police Organizations.

He accepted the award Sunday in Washington, D.C. and was saluted by Sen. Kevin Cramer, Gov. Doug Burgum, Attorney General Drew Wrigley and Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski.

Robinson was selected for showing exceptional bravery in the face of extreme danger during an ambush of officers last July in Fargo.

Officers Andrew Dotas and Tyler Hawes were both injured.

Fellow officer Jake Wallin was killed in the line of duty.

He will be honored during National Police Week and have his name inscribed onto the National Law Enforcement Memorial.
