LIVE: A Lonely Art and the Power of Connection

Moorhead — A metro-based writers group is building connections in the community this morning through the power of storytelling.

Chris Stenson is a novelist and one of the members of the Moorhead Friends Writing Group.

He says the group’s grown over the last several years and it’s now on its third anthology, this one called Tales From the Water’s Edge.

There are all genres included in the group, which has members 13 different states, and Canada.

They’re up to 36 titles between them, including fantasy, horror, short stories, and poetry.

The group hosts regular appearances from nationally-renowned authors to get inspiration and tips on landing agents, and to stay motivated.

This Saturday, you can catch “Stoker’s Wilde” authors Stephen Hopstaken and Melissa Prusi at Moorhead’s “Words to Live By” Bookstore.

Stenson sat down for a live interview on the Morning Show about the isolating nature of the art and why it’s so important for many writers to feel connected in order to succeed.
