LIVE: Pet Connection: Meet Purdy

BOTTINEAU, N.D. — Time was almost up for a little pup in the Minot pound.

There’s only so much room for so many strays, so the little black and white pit bull cross was down to her last few days.

That’s until Tasha Gorentz of Kritter Krazy Reptile and Exotic Rescue rushed to her aid.

They took her out of the pound and in so doing saved her life.

She looks to be under a year old, and she’s very bright, getting the hang of “sit” almost immediately, although as Gorentz puts, doesn’t have much of a sense of personal space.

She does really like cuddles and hugs, and has “helicopter ears” that perk out and up and to the sides when she’s interested in something.

She’s already done her first public appearance and did really well with all the strangers she met.

She will need to have her spay surgery and be fully recovered before she can be adopted out.

But if you’re looking for a pretty girl, this little puppy — called Purdy — might be just the one for you.
