Crews Battle Fire At Northwood Cafe and Grocery in Nevis, Minnesota

NEVIS, Minn. (KVRR) — Fire crews battle a blaze at Northwoods Cafe and Grocery in Nevis, Minnesota.

Social media posts say the business has extensive damage.

A few neighboring businesses posting on social media around 9 a.m. that they were delayed or closed for the day since the area was evacuated.

A group of employees of the cafe and grocery store have started a GoFundMe fundraiser.

They wrote: “We all depended on the income and tips to pay bills and survive. So, to not take away from any fundraising efforts for the owners and their loss, we are starting our own.”

They also say they are saddened by this event and the community loss.
