EAGAN, Minn. (KVRR) – Minnesota Vikings’ first-round draft pick J.J. McCarthy is set to undergo knee surgery.

There’s no word yet on how long he’ll be out.

McCarthy complained about knee pain over the weekend and underwent an MRI.

The Vikings confirmed in a post on X that Head Coach Kevin O’Connell made the announcement Tuesday morning.
