NDSU Hosts 10th Annual Chamber Music Festival

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — North Dakota State University is hosting its 10th Annual Chamber Music Festival.

NDSU invites members of the Fargo-Moorhead community to hear performances by student musicians paired with professional musicians.

Previous professional musicians hosted at the festival have included Grammy Award-winning artists and faculty from the Royal Academy of Music in London and Carnegie Mellon.

This year the festival will include musicians from the Fargo-Moorhead area, violinist Grace Park as well as members of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and the Los Angeles Philharmonic

“It’s a professional model where you’re not unlike an educational experience, maybe you rehearsed all semester for your concerts. Not so in the professional world and so they have to prepare for that very condensed model of putting something at a very high level together,” said Tyler Wottrich, Artistic Director of the Chamber Music Festival.

While tickets for Stravinsky’s “The Rake’s Progress” are sold out, the remaining performances are free to everyone.
