FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A fundraiser is started for Monte Rodacker of Jamestown after a crash during a Nine-Eleven tribute run Sunday afternoon near Fort Ransom.

Rodacker was forced to put on his brakes to avoid hitting a group of motorycles that had passed him at a high rate of speed and then suddenly braked on a curve.

Rodacker was thrown onto the road and life-flighted to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo with serious injuries.

His wife says he has broken ribs and a head injury.

He was not wearing a helmet.

Highway Patrol Sgt. Andrew Cashin says they have identified a person on a trike motorcycle and they are no longer a person of interest.

He says in general there were many motorcyclists driving in a hot rod manner throughout the entire day.

Cashin says Rodacker was driving responsibly.
