Two People Dead in Three-Vehicle Crash on Hwy 59 North of Detroit Lakes

BECKER CO., Minn. (KVRR 3Pm Update 10/924) — Minnesota State Patrol identifies two people killed in a three vehicle crash on Highway 59 on Tuesday afternoon.

They are 33-year-old Cole Carlson of Detroit Lakes and 60-year-old Stacey Nelson of Hawley.

They were in the same vehicle.

In another vehicle, a couple from Fosston, ages 84 and 82, have non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Essentia.

A 59-year-old woman from Bagley was in the third vehicle and was not injured.

The crash happened north of Detroit Lakes in Becker County.

Sgt. Jesse Grabow says the sequence of events is still under investigation.

BECKER COUNTY, Minn. (KVRR:7pm UPDATE) — Two people are dead after a three-vehicle crash on Highway 59.

A 33-year-old man from Detroit Lakes and a 60-year-old man from Hawley were in the vehicle and killed.

Names will be released on Wednesday.

The crash happened around 2 p.m. north of Detroit Lakes in Becker County.
