Welcome Home For 188th Air Defense Artillery at Alerus Center in Grand Forks

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — Soldiers with Bravo Battery, 1st Battalion, 188th Air Defense Artillery, North Dakota Army National Guard are back home!
The Grand Forks-based unit was deployed overseas to U.S. Central Command to provide integrated air defense coverage and early warning.
This was the unit’s 13th deployment since 2004, making it the most-deployed unit in the North Dakota National Guard.
Senators Kevin Cramer and John Hoeven along with Lt. Gov. Tammy Miller were on hand to welcome soldiers home this afternoon at Alerus Center.
“We are reminded in a moment like this what is great about America. You remind us of our strengths. Today, as we welcome you home we couldn’t be more grateful. To the soldiers of the 1-188th and their families we cannot say thank you enough,” said Cramer.
