Fargo Public Libraries Start Annual Mitten Trees
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — All Fargo Public Libraries have put up their annual mitten trees.
The trees brings in donations of mittens, hats, scarves and socks for people to take what they are in need of.
The trees have been around for more than six years bringing in loads of donations every year.
While it has started out slowly the library is looking forward to more donations to provide needed warmth to the community.
“The library is a community place. We recognize that not everyone in our community has everything that they need. And we also want to have a chance for people to be able to bring in and share with their community members and so and then this is a place for someone who could take it and don’t have to for it. It’s just here and it’s available,” said Amber Emery, Children’s Services Manager at Fargo Public Library.
Both handmade and purchased items are welcome.
