It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas In Downtown Fargo

Downtown Fargo is ready for Christmas. People packed into broadway square for the annual tree lighting ceremony in downtown Fargo on Tuesday night. Mayor Mahoney along with Mr. and Mrs. Clause helped get the tree lit. There were also horse drawn carriage rides, a hot cocoa station and fire pits for smores.

“This is one of our favorite community events. It’s fun to see all of the people from the Fargo community that gather downtown for the tree lighting event. It brings families and kids with all the different activities that we have. It’s one of our fun signature events,” said Fargo park district executive director Susan Faus.

The ice rink at the square also opened at the ceremony. If you want to rent skates you can from 4-8 pm on weekdays and Noon-8 on weekends.
