Unattended Space Heater Causes Trailer House Fire in East Grand Forks

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. (KVRR) —  East Grand Forks Fire Department says an unattended space heater caused a fire in a trailer house.

Crews were called out just after 1 p.m.

They arrived to light smoke coming from the home and the smoke alarms going off.

No one was hurt.

American Red Cross is helping those displaced by the fire.

East Grand Forks Fire department would like to remind citizens that
space heaters are a common cause of house fires and should be used safely.
 Never leave space heaters unattended
 Do not use space heaters within 3 feet of combustibles
