LIVE: Free Winter Clothing Giveaway

FARGO — Winter can be tough on all your gear.

And in spite of the slight warmup we’re set to see in the next couple of days, we’ve got a lot of winter left to go.

That’s why a group called Community Options is offering a free winter clothes giveaway for families across the state who are struggling financially.

They recently got state grant money to start the clothing giveaway project.

They’re partnering with the store Runnings to help make it happen.

They did clothing distribution in the Jamestown area Tuesday, came to Fargo today, and are continuing through the remainder of the state in the coming days.

Winter clothing and other winter supply drives tend to peak over the holidays, but the need doesn’t end when the new year begins, says Community Options’ Darcy Severson.

She joined the Morning Show to talk about why it’s important to spread the word to everyone help is there for people who can use it, especially in one of the most challenging winter climates in the country.
