Fire Destroys House and Garage in Polk County, MN

POLK CO., Minn. (KVRR) — A fire Saturday in Polk County has destroyed a house and garage.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office says the structure fire was in Euclid Township, north of Crookston, and is believed to have originated with a wood stove in the garage.

When deputies arrived, it was fully engulfed and the fire was spreading into the house.

No one was home at the time.

Responding fire departments were able to fully extinguish the fire but the structure is believed to be a complete loss.

Minnesota State Fire Marshal will investigate.
