Grand Forks Man Arrested After High Speed Chase In Stolen Vehicle

GRAND FORKS CO., N.D. (KVRR) — A Grand Forks man faces a number of charges after another high speed chase ended with the use of stop sticks and a PIT maneuver.

Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office says 30-year-old Kyler Kleppe was spotted by Grand Forks police in a stolen vehicle but he fled out of town around 1 a.m.

A deputy located Kleppe about four miles west of the airport on Highway 2 and he fled hitting speeds of 120 miles per hour.

Spike strips were set up on Highway 18 and deflated the front two tires.

A PIT maneuver pushed the vehicle into a snow filled ditch.

Kleppe was arrested for fleeing, possession of stolen property and numerous other charges and cited for multiple traffic violations.
