LIVE: Celebrating International Women’s Day

MOORHEAD, MINN. (KVRR) — An internaional celebration of women around the world is coming to the metro this weekend.

Kondial Kel is holding their 5th annual International Women’s Day Celebration on Saturday, connecting women of all backgrounds to share their stories of empowerment.

It is open to all, and will feature panels and keynote speakers sharing stories about advocating for women’s issues around the world and in our community.

The event gives local women a chance to connect and learn more about their cultures, and the stories of empowerment.

“I’m always digging for more. What should I know about you as a person, because a lot of people might miss that important thing about you, and who you are, and where you come from… So that’s very powerful in and of itself. I don’t have to go to the library to learn about something. But it doesn’t mean that you can’t go to the library, let me just correct that.”
