Free Seed Library Returns to Fargo Public Library Branches
The event runs through the month of April - or for as long as supplies last.
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – If you’re looking for a free and easy way to begin gardening at home, the Fargo Public Library has you covered.
April 2 marked the beginning of the seventh annual free seed library.
You don’t even need to be a member of the library to participate.
Anyone can drop by and pick up five seed packets per household per visit.
The seeds range in variety from flowers to herbs and even vegetables like carrots and onions.
Library staff say the giveaway only gets more popular each year.
“People have been calling pre-this week to say, ‘When is it going to be out?’ and ‘Will they be out right away this morning?’ and things like that,” said Branch Services Manager Lori West. “So we do have a following with it.”
The event runs through the month of April – or for as long as supplies last, so don’t hesitate to get to a FPL branch if you’re interested in working out your green thumb.
