One driver dead after going wrong way on I-94 in Barnes County

BARNES COUNTY, N.D. (KVRR) — A 44-yearo-old Mandan man is dead after driving the wrong way down I-94 and crashing head-on into another vehicle.

North Dakota Highway Patrol says the other driver, a 74-year-old man from Bismarck, has serious nonlife-threatening injuries.

He was taken to a hospital in Valley City before being moved to Sanford in Fargo.

The crash happened just before 1 p.m. near Eckelson, between Valley City and Jamestown.

The crash remains under investigation.
