Marketplace for Kids Hosts its 30th Annual Education Day

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — More than 100 students are participating in the 30th annual Marketplace for Kids Education Day

Students across the Fargo area are receiving a first-hand experience of what it is like to work in various industries.

Robert Heitkamp and his team with Marketplace for Kids have shared opportunities with students across the region.

Classes in this year’s group included spray drones in agriculture, public safety bombs, careers in aviation and land surveying.

“Kids know a lot earlier than you think they do, and we’re all about that. We want to give them their first look at things, first look at an industry, first look at a job. Students, we’ve had students come to like a nursing class. We’ve got those in numerous locations,” said Robert Heitkamp, Executive Director for Marketplace for Kids.

Marketplace for Kids Education Day will continue on Wednesday at Microsoft.
