Crookston Man Dead After Crashing Into Tree Near South Broadway Bridge

CROOKSTON, Minn. (KVRR) — Police in Crookston are investigating a fatal crash that happened around 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday.

They say 68-year-old Jon Nimens of Crookston was driving north on South Broadway when his vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree by South Broadway bridge.

Nimens was taken to RiverView Health where he was pronounced dead.

Police say this is an active investigation and no further details will be released at this time.
