Moorhead family displaced after fire starts in upstairs bedroom

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — A family is displaced from their home in Moorhead after an afternoon fire.

Moorhead Fire Department responded around 3:45 p.m. to 311 14th Street North in Moorhead.

When they got there, they saw heavy smoke and flames coming from a second-floor window.

Firefighters quickly put out the fire contained to an upstairs bedroom.

No one was hurt. The American Red Cross is assisting the family.

Damage estimates are not yet available and the cause is under investigation.
