People displaced by kitchen fire in Grand Forks Sunday afternoon

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — Occupants of a house at 1322 Allwood Court in Grand Forks are displaced after a fire.

Grand Forks Fire crews responded in the noon hour and arrived to find flames on the first floor and smoke throughout the house.

The fire was quickly put out with moderate damage isolated to the kitchen.

The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.

Family is helping those displaced overnight.

There were no injuries.

The fire department is reminding people to keep oven mitts, utensils, food packages, and towels off and away from your stovetop.
