LIVE: Floating Some Great Ideas at Flutter Fest
MOORHEAD — If you’re looking for a celebration that leaves you floating on air, the upcoming flutter fest in Moorhead might leave you a whole lot happier and just a little bit more educated too.
University of Minnesota Extension master gardeners are throwing the party for pollinators.
There, you’ll help plant a pollinator garden, start your own native coneflowers from seed, help clean up problematic buckthorn plants and more.
They’ll have treats and live music, children’s book giveaways, and most importantly, lots of education about how to help attract and protect pollinators like bees, butterflies, and bats.
U of M Extension Master Gardener Intern Martha Wheeler created the event and hopes to turn it into an annual celebration.
She joined the Morning Show to share her knowledge about how to make bees, butterflies and bats happy in your yard, and why it’s so important to attract and protect these important little animals.
