Dr. Scott Jensen announces another run for governor of Minnesota.

The Republican says he aims to lower prices while promoting law and order.

Gov. Walz beat him by about 193,000 votes in 2022.

The 70-year-old Jensen served a single term in the Minnesota Senate representing part of Carver County before he ran for governor.

He joins Kendall Qualls in the 2026 race on the Republican side so far.

Walz has yet to announce officially whether he’ll seek a third term, but there have been indications lately that he does plan to do that.

Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party Chairman Richard Carlbom released a statement saying, “There are two facts: Republicans are blocking the release of the Epstein files, and Scott Jensen will never be Governor of Minnesota.”
