Sweet Ambition: Breaking the S’mores Record at the Night Bazaar

FARGO — The newest Night Bazaar is almost here the nonprofit Folkways is ready to get you all fired up.

And we got a warmup on the Morning Show Monday.

Folkways co-founder Simone Wai joined the show to show off her marshmallow-toasting tips ahead of the nonprofit’s attempt to break the world record for most people eating S’mores simultaneously.

They’re expecting 1200 or so more attendees than usual to join the Night Bazaar for the attempt.

And Wai says even though city leaders initially turned down their request for street closures on Broadway for the big event, it’s not the final answer.

Wai shared tips on attending the record-breaking attempt, why the city is planning to revisit the issue of street closures, and how you can get involved.
