Pride Week Concludes With Biggest Events Yet
Fargo-Moorhead Pride says that the change of venue for Pride in the Park allowed them to draw their largest crowd to date.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – August 10 wrapped up Pride Week in Fargo-Moorhead, and the weekend saw its marquee events draw in huge crowds.
On Saturday it was Pride in the Park.
This massive celebration took place outside Fargo Civic Center, sprawling down to the lawn and into the parking lot in front of Fargo City Hall.
There were vendors and informational booths from all sorts of organizations, food trucks, live music, and inflatable play areas for kids.
Organizers thanked their partners for allowing them to use such a huge area for the event.
“We are so lucky that the city of Fargo and the Downtown Community Partnership jumped in and said yes, we want you here,” said Rachel Geinert, Pride in the Park Coordinator.
Sunday brought the Pride Parade.
The procession kicked off at about 2 in the afternoon, with staging near Fargo Public Library and the route largely leading down Broadway.
Pride coordinators said it was the perfect cap to an inspiring week of activity.
“Not only did the LGBTQ+ community show up for our events this week, but also our allies,” said Thane Solberg, Chair of F-M Pride. “Whether it be attending, or being a community partner, or being a part of the PD here in Fargo-Moorhead, we’ve seen support from top to bottom.”
F-M Pride estimates about 10,000 people turned up for Pride in the Park.
