Fargo Police investigating potential threat against a school or shopping center

UPDATE: Police Chief David Zibolski and Mayor Tim Mahoney have put out statements on the potential threat following the shooting in Minneapolis.
“In light of the tragic shooting in Minneapolis, I want to reassure residents that the Fargo Police Department and its federal partners continue to actively investigate the potential threat made against a school or shopping center that was received early this morning. No school building, school district or shopping center specific to Fargo was mentioned in the threat, and we currently have no information to suggest the threat is credible,” Zibolski said.
“Our hearts go out to the victims and families impacted by the shooting this morning at Annunciation Catholic School. Our thoughts, prayers and condolences are with them in this time of unimaginable suffering. I want to offer my gratitude to the Fargo Police Department for taking seriously the potential threat it received this morning and immediately launching an investigation,” Mahoney wrote.

Fargo, N.D. (KVRR) — The Fargo Police say that they are working with federal partners and local law enforcement to investigate a potential threat of violence made Wednesday morning.
They say no school building, district, or shopping center specific to Fargo was named in the threat, but they have notified Fargo Public Schools and West Acres shopping center of the threat.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the credibility of the threat and identify the indivual responsible. At this time they have no actionable infromation to validate the threat.
They are requesting the public’s assistance in reporting any suspicious activity or behavior by calling 9-1-1.
