Suspect arrested in Moorhead stabbing

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR-KFGO)  – A Moorhead man is in the Clay County Jail for assault after a stabbing in Moorhead Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to the 300 block of 16th Street North at about 9:15.

The suspect, 37-year-old Joshua Carney, had run from the scene. He was caught by responding officers. Carney and the victim are known to each other. The victim suffered what police say was a serious stab wound and was taken to a Fargo hospital.

A K9 from the West Fargo Police Department assisted Moorhead Police. Moorhead Fire and Sanford Ambulance also responded.
