7-Year Old Hurt in Bike/Truck Crash

MOORHEAD — A seven-year old child is hurt and a driver is cited after a bike/truck crash Wednesday on the city’s south side.

Moorhead police say it happened at around 4:54 PM in the 4100 block of 14th Street South.

They sat the child was riding a bicycle in the crosswalk at that intersection when they were hit by a pickup truck driven by Pamela Wold of Moorhead.

The child was wearing a helmet during the crash, and Sanford Ambulance took them to a local hospital.

While the child’s current condition is unknown, their injuries are described as non-life-threatening.

Wold was cited for failure to yield the right of way at a crosswalk and was released from the scene.

Police are telling drivers to slow down and stay alert, especially in areas where children are.
