Detroit Lakes man killed after motorcycle crashed into pickup is identified

PERHAM, Minn. (KVRR) —  A Detroit Lakes man who died after crashing his motorcycle west of Perham Monday afternoon has been identified as 65-year-old Robert Stelzer.

Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says he was on Fort Thunder Road and failed to stop at the intersection of County Highway 125.

The motorcycle crashed into a pickup.

The person who reported the crash and first responders tried to save Stelzer, but he died at the scene.

The 33-year-old Pelican Rapids man driving the pickup was not hurt.

State Patrol is assisting with the investigation.
