Pedestrian struck, killed on county highway in Otter Tail County

NEW YORK MILLS, Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) – The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that left a pedestrian dead Wednesday night.
Around 8:10 p.m., deputies responded to a report that an adult walking along the road in the 37000 block of County Highway 67 south of New York Mills was hit by a passing vehicle. The person was unresponsive in the ditch when first responders arrived.
First responders tried to save the person, but they died at the scene.
The Sheriff’s Office, Perham Police, the State Patrol, New York Mills Rescue, Astera Ambulance, and Life Link assisted at the scene. No other information about the incident or the person’s identity has been released.
