12 fire departments battle blaze at Anchor Ingredients in Hatton, ND

HATTON, N.D. (KVRR) – Numerous fire crews were called to a large fire Wednesday at Anchor Ingredients in Hatton, North Dakota.
Traill County Assistant Emergency Manager Ben Gates tells KVRR Local News that the fire was reported around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.
At least two buildings close to each other burned, one of them collapsed.
The buildings were filled with wheat.
Gates says there are around 100 crew members from 12 different departments battled the blaze.
He expected crews to remain on scene for some time to monitor hot spots.
The water pressure in the city of Hatton was expected to return to normal after an initial decrease due to the fire response.
Anchor Ingredients announced in 2023 that it had acquired the grain handling facility in Hatton.
At the time they said the facility would allow the company to expand its ingredient portfolio and processing capabilities.
