Victim identified in fatal Clay County house fire

CLAY COUNTY, Minn. (KVRR) — The victim of a fatal house fire in Ulen is identified.

Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 57-year-old Daryn Waller died in a house fire that broke out Friday morning.

It happened at 21148 160th Avenue North in rural Clay County. The call came in after 10 a.m.

Dispatchers reported that the Waller was unable to get out of the house.

A deputy entered the home to search for the homeowner but came out unsuccessful.

Fire crews arrived and searched the home.

That’s when Waller was found dead in a bedroom.

The investigation is ongoing by Clay County Sheriff’s Office and State Fire Marshal’s Office.
