FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — The attorney for D’Angelo Hunt is requesting a six-month delay for his trial which is set to start on February 10 in U.S. District Court.

Mark Meyer says he has not received any of the discovery which he is told is extensive and like nothing the assistant U.S. Attorney has seen before.

Meyer is asking for six more months to prepare and Hunt has agreed to seek the delay.

Hunt is charged with one count of second degree murder, one count of voluntary manslaughter, six counts of felony assault and other charges.

He is accused of killing his brother Isaac Hunt on Spirit Lake Reservation in 2024.

His remains were found late last year.

Some of the charges are related to the disappearance of D’Angelo Hunt’s girlfriend, who was reported missing in January 2024.
