Help at a Hard Time for Giving Hearts Day
FARGO — It’s one of the toughest times of life for any family to grapple with.
And this year, the regional hospice nonprofit Hearts in Action is asking for your fundraising help to keep their mission of keeping sick folks comfortable at home going strong, ahead of Giving Hearts Day.
It was known for forty years in our region as “Hospice of the Red River Valley.”
Their services now cover 60,000 square miles of North Dakota and Minnesota.
They provide in-home care from doctors, nurses, social workers and more for people suffering serious chronic illnesses, as well of end-of-life care.
And it’s not just patients they connect with help.
They also get patients’ loved ones connected withe experts in bereavement to prepare them for what to expect and to get through the grieving process.
HIA’s Meghann Widmer joined the Morning Show to explain some of what they do and how it can help your family.
