Red Lake, MN woman found guilty of killing her two young sons on Red Lake Indian Reservation in 2024

MINNEAPOLIS (KVRR) — A Red Lake, Minnesota woman has been found guilty of killing her two sons in 2024.

Jennifer Stately was convicted in Federal Court in Minneapolis for the stabbing deaths of 5-year-old Tristan and 6-year-old Remi.

Court records say that on March 15, 2024 the then 35-year-old attacked and killed the two boys.

She then set fire to the home and then took off in her vehicle with a 3-year-old son.

An AMBER Alert was issued and someone spotted Stately’s vehicle and contacted law enforcement.

Law enforcement says the child showed signs of neglect.

Stately was later charged with murder and arson.

The crimes were committed on Red Lake Indian Reservation.
