Sexual assault reported at NDSU residence hall

FARGO (KVRR-KFGO) – North Dakota State University Police sent a campus-wide alert after a report of a sexual assault in a residence hall.
The victim told police the assault happened during the early morning hours on Tuesday, March 3.
NDSU Police say the suspect and the reporting individual had previously exchanged messages.
“While circumstances around sexual assaults can vary, it is important to emphasize that such acts of sexual violence are never the victim’s fault. The blame lies solely with the perpetrator(s),” NDSU Police said.

Police say the reporting individual has been offered resources.
